We do a little more complicated invitation than is in the Scouts Canada web site
I print out the invitation and coloring pages. I also cut up some nice colored/scrapbooking paper or construction paper. The kids can then cut around the coloring page image, glue it to one side of the colored paper, and glue the invitation to the other side.
My big thing during the year is Earth day. I always try to make it a little special. I sometimes even combine it with Mother's Day.
I've done a can covered in previously used paper. Here's my daughter's. We put some tissue in with a little annual from the garden centre.

Since I work at Home Depot and we throw out many boxes that are even stronger/sturdier than cereal boxes, I collected boxes from work for a couple weeks. We used old calendars and gift bags, etc. to decorate the boxes.
